Get ready for some outstanding beer from your favorite Black-owned breweries in celebration of Juneteenth! On June 19th, 1865 freedom from slavery in Texas was proclaimed marking the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth commemorates this important date in our history and we’re celebrating by taking part in the Juneteenth collaboration and events organized by Oak Park Brewing Co.
Brewteenth is a beer festival that will take place on Saturday, June 19th at Oak Park Brewing Co. in Sacramento with beer, vendors, and live music all day. Four Black-owned breweries, including Full Circle and Oak Park along with Hella Coastal and Hunters Point Brewery, have each brewed a Brewteenth collaboration beer to celebrate this monumental day in U.S. history. All four collab beers will be served at the event along with an additional beer from each of the breweries.
Full Circle Brewing CEO Arthur Moye says “It is exciting to be able to join three other Black-owned breweries for this special project highlighting the importance of Juneteenth. We were lucky enough to work with these same breweries for Black History Month, and were amazed by the level of passion and commitment each brewery has equity in the brewing industry”
We can’t wait to share our new Cream Ale with Sweet Cherry and Vanilla. A sip of this beer will immediately bring thoughts of fresh fruit and vanilla cream pie. The flavors of cherry, vanilla cookie, and black currant hit you right away and then linger into raspberry for a long fruity finish. It tastes as good with your Pad Thai for dinner as it does with a slice of cherry pie for dessert.
Attending the event is the only opportunity to try all four Brewteenth collab beers in the same spot. The celebration runs from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday. Grab your ticket to Brewteenth before they sell out.
